In Baton Rouge and other areas flagged for Air Quality violations in Louisiana all motorvehicles are required to pass an emissions inspection each year.

The only age-based admission exclusion is for Show Cars that are 40 years old or older and not used primarily for every day driving.  Unfortunately, a vehicle manufactured in 1997 is not quite old enough to qualify.
