There's really nothing to be done with a scratched, skipping CD. Please do not try any home-repair methods as found on the web, all of which run a significant chance of permanently destroying an item.
If you remember to, please mention the scratched CD to a staff member when returning the item. We have a special machine that uses plastic resin and a special, high-speed polishing pad to repair skipping CDs.
Upon returning the item, we can also see if there are any other copies available in the library system. You might also want to check our Overdrive collection to see if the item is available for download there.
