There are no annual renewal fees for library cards!   Here are some policies that may be relevant to your question.

  1. Replacement of a lost library card is 1.00
  2. Upgrading a card due to age category (child-tween; tween-YA, YA-Adult) or changing from an in-parish to an out-of-parish card (or vice versa) carries no fee.
  3. For all card types, renewing your account after it has expired requires that you pay off any existing fees, fines, or invoices carried as a balance on your card.  In other words, you must reduce any balance owed to the library to zero before we can renew your card.
  4. Parish Resident Cards expire every three (3) years; Out-of-Parish Non-Resident Cards must be renewed every (1) year. Out-of-Parish Cards for Non-Resident college and university students living in Non-Reciprocal Parishes expire at the end of each semester.

You can read more about this in our Cards and Borrowing policy, or in the more thorough Patron Library Cards policy.
