#4 plastics, or Low Density Polyethylene Plastics are generally not accepted at curbside recycling programs.

Check for this symbol on your basket to see if is an LDPE.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Recyling Office publishes an info sheet about what materials are and are not recyclable. You can find more information about recycling in Baton Rouge on the office's website.
