You can find music cd's and put them on hold through our online catalog, and when they are ready you can pick them up from Circulation.

Go to our library homepage and then select Catalog. This will take you to the online catalog. On the left side of the screen click on the 'Log On' button and enter your library card number and name code (explained on that screen).

Now that you are logged in, choose the second blue search tab called 'More Search Options'. Then on this page look for the box called 'Popular Collections', scroll down this list and select 'Music (Cassette or CD)' This way you will only be searching music. When you carry out your search you will see the format of each item.

When you search and the results list is presented, click on the CD that you are looking for and this will open up the full record. Here at the bottom of the page you can see which branches have a copy and how many holds there are on a checked out CD. Click the 'place holds' button on the left and then you will be directed to choose where you would like to pick the CD up. Then click 'place hold' and you're done!

Alternately you can call us at 231-3750 and we'll be glad to place items on hold for you.

You can also use Freegal if you're interested in streaming or downloadable music.

  1. Overdrive also has music that you can download and listen to. It's mostly blues, but there are some excellent albums available there.
