Q. What year did South Choctaw Dr.formally become a street
S. Choctaw Dr. use to be a gravel rd. In the early 1960's, it was apaved over as a temporary, private rd. I need to know when it became a formal street in Baton Rouge.
We checked the Polk City Directory. The first year that S. Choctaw was listed as a street separate from Choctaw Dr was 1959. Not sure if this means it was paved, but it was a recognized street if it was listed.
