Construction began April 1975 and was finished in Sept. 1977.

Cost: $17,802,434.00

Designed by Desmond-Miremont-Burks, a Baton Rouge architectural firm.

Original ground-breaking ceremonies for the Centroplex were planned for 1 April 1973 before delays occurred.
