To get a library card you will need to come in to a branch and show some identification and proof of address. It can't be done online. For more information, you can read our library cards and borrowing policy.

  1. The library should consider a program for non-residents and charge an annual fee. Great way to increase revenues!! Some libraries use this program.

  2. Hi there Joseph,

If you're an out of parish resident you can actually apply for a card (For Free)! It just needs to be one of our neighboring parishes:
    1. Ascension
    2. Assumption
    3. East Feliciana
    4. Iberia
    5. Iberville
    6. Livingston
    7. Pointe Coupee
    8. St. Helena
    9. St. Tammany
    10. Tangipahoa
    11. Washington
    12. West Baton Rouge
    13. West Feliciana

You can also apply for a card if you don't live in EBR parish but own property. To check out how head over to:http://www.ebrpl.com/LibraryServices/CardsandBorrowing.html

    Thanks!
