Q. how do i read the ebook i have checked out in my ebook shelf?

If you look on your ebookshelf the button by the book title should say 'download' or 'Get for Kindle' If you click that link the book should download to your computer provided you have Adobe Digital Editions installed and then the book should open up by itself. From Adobe Digital Editions you can transfer the book to an ereader. If you got the Kindle book, when you click 'Get For Kindle' you will be taken to Amazon.com where you can choose where to have the book sent for you read, either on a Kindle or Kindle app.

If you're reading on your computer or smartphone, you can also read the book in your browser.
