Book for our Overdrive collections are chosen in the same way that books for the rest of the collection are chosen.  We have several professional collection development librarians who act as selectors.  They consult with standard trade publications and catalogs, peers, and other publishing and library industry related publications to assess needs, collection weaknesses and strengths before adding items to our collection.

Items are also selected for Overdrive after being requested by patrons.  You can request items through our online Patron Recommendation Form.

If you'd like to know more about our selection policies, please consult our collection development policy.

If you have any further questions, please give us a call at 225-231-3750.
