This didn't sound familiar, so I asked around. These book marks were older bookmarks that were erroneously placed out while a staff member was cleaning out some old file cabinets.   Unfortunately, we no longer have any copies and do not have the masters.  We may not even own many of the books that were listed on them, as our collection changes over time and since these were very old bookmarks.

If you are interested in books about submarines or end of the world novels, try a catalog search here:

Submarines

In this search I used our advanced search tab, set the search term to submarine, and set the format type to fiction

End-of-the-world

In this search I used our advanced search tab, set the search term to end of the world (the phrase is a term used to index apocalyptic literature) and set the format type to fiction.

In both cases, these searches should bring up everything that we have in the system that's fiction and that features either Submarines or the End of the World.  In other words, either theme was prominent enough in each book that the catalogers chose to label those books with those terms.

Hope that helps.  If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 225-231-3750.
