Unfortunately, you can't get a library card online.

Registering for a library card is free to persons who reside in or own property in East Baton Rouge Parish. Replacement cards are $1.00 each.

To obtain a card you must show a current government, work or school issued picture ID and proof of address. Acceptable forms of picture identification include driver's license, school ID, military ID or passport.

You must provide a physical mailing address via a piece of mail that has been delivered to you at that address.  We will not accept a U.S. post office mailbox or commercial mail drop box as proof of residency in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Proof of ownership of property in East Baton Rouge Parish is required for persons who live out-of-parish — an East Baton Rouge Parish tax notice or receipt for payment of property tax in East Baton Rouge Parish is accepted.

Out-of-parish residents in neighboring (reciprocal only) parishes must show a signed authorization slip from their parish librarian as well as a picture ID and proof of address.  You can get an authorization slip at any EBRPL branch library or at a library in your parish of residence.  Ascension Parish residents must also have an Ascension Parish Library card.
