There's no way to prevent your library card from expiring.  Every three years your card automatically expires and must be renewed.  At that time you must pay off any and all fines on your account and verify (or re-verify with us) your current address either with a current picture ID or, if your ID does not have your current address, you can present a piece of mail received at your current address with your name on it, or other documents - like a tuition bill or car insurance documents as proof of address.
