Ascension Parish is a reciprocal library; however, if you live in Ascension you must have an Ascension Parish library card in order to get an EBRP library card. Here's a summary of what you'll need, copied in from our Library Cards and Borrowing policy:

Out-of-parish residents in neighboring parishes (reciprocal only): (-)

  • A picture ID, such as a driver's license, school ID, military ID or passport.
  • Proof of address, such as a driver's license, voter registrations, or mail that has been received at the patron's residence.
  • A signed authorization slip from their parish librarian.
  • Cards expire at the end of one year. Cardholders must pay any unpaid balance and provide photo ID and proof of current address in order to extend the card for another year.

If you have questions about this, please call us at 231-3740 or contact the Ascension Parish Library.
