Q. what does "record only" mean in the status bar?

"Record Only" means we don't have any copies of the title in our system yet.

If you're looking for a particular title and the catalog says "Record Only" you can request that we borrow the book for you through our Interlibrary Loan service.  There's a link to Interlibrary Loan just below the search box on the catalog home page (or here, at the highlighted text). You can put the request in there -- or you can call us at 231-3750 and we'll put the request in for you.
